Description

Hina-Oio Rapa Nui Faile

Hina-Oio lives on one of the most remote inhabited places on earth, Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island. It sits far off the coast of Chile in the mid-Pacific Ocean. Hina-Oio loves spending time at the beach with her friend, Manutara, a frigatebird. They also like to visit the Maoi, large stone monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people, many of which stand on stone platforms around the perimeter of the island.

She is named for Hina-Oio, a figure from ancient Rapa Nui mythology, who was the goddess of the sea animals.
