Description

Bindi – An Aboriginal Mimi

In the red heart of central Australia lives the shy Bindi. She is fast and hard to spy but, if you visit the giant red rock Uluru at the magical times of day when the sun is low, you may spot her and her emu friend Widgee.

Bindi is an aboriginal name meaning little spear.

Amanda Neilson lovingly known as Boots in the photographic industry has been a professional photographer for more than a dozen years. She fell in love with the freedom the digital era brought to image makers because with her skills in Photoshop and talent for creativity there really is no limit in the possibilities one can first imagine then capture and create. Combining a background that brings together her home family life and passion for arts and crafts with her professional portrait studio and love for travel her images are full of character, storytelling and quizzical details. She lives and works in rural Nth Queensland caring for a large extended family but escapes on world adventures with friends whenever the opportunities arise.
