Glenworth Valley in NSW is the largest private land holding on the Central Coast with 3,000 acres of land and home to the Lawler family and their 200 plus horses.  At the end of each working day the horses are turned out to their nightly pastures to graze and crouching at the waters edge I was able to capture this majestic scene.

One horse leads the pack and contrary to popular belief the mob leader is not the stallion, but in fact a snow white mare. She determines when to move and identifies the best route, the dominant stallion moves to the edge of the herd to watch over the mob and keep them safe, much like in the wild.
