Description
Journey along Australia’s rugged coastline with Jaime Dormer’s Guiding Lights Lighthouse Coaster Collection, a set that captures the timeless beauty and resilience of lighthouses.
Each image in this collection celebrates these beacons of hope and guidance, from the iconic Byron Bay Lighthouse, standing as Australia’s most easterly point, to the striking Otway Lighthouse on Victoria’s wild coast.
These coasters are a tribute to the lighthouses that have guided mariners for generations, marking Australia’s coastal heritage with both elegance and strength.
About the Artwork
Dormer’s photography brings to life the unique character of each lighthouse, set against dramatic skies and coastal landscapes. The Smoky Cape Lighthouse shines against a moody horizon, while Fingal Head captures the warmth of the setting sun illuminating the rugged cliffs.
The vivid contrast of Hornsby’s architecture with the darkening storm clouds is both striking and serene, and Tacking Point glows in the gentle light of dusk, showcasing Dormer’s skill in capturing the atmosphere. Each image invites viewers to experience the enduring presence of these structures, whether bathed in soft morning light or standing tall against gathering clouds.
"Lighthouses are symbols of hope and resilience. They stand steadfast against time and tide, illuminating paths for those in search of safe harbour." – Jaime Dormer
