Melanie Birt holds a degree in Archaeology and Anthropology and somehow ended up in the newspaper and magazine industry before deciding to do what she'd always wanted to do... be a photographer.
She is largely self-taught and merges her media and behavioural science background with her photography work, to create visual stories for her portrait and commercial clients. When not juggling work and family, she skips town as often as possible to immerse herself in, and document, the beauty of the world around us.
She currently lives in Cronulla, Sydney with her husband and two kids and harbours a burning desire to do a custom fit-out on a Toyota Coaster and live off-grid on an endless road trip.
